We are a small, locally owned craft brewery based in Mt Kuring-Gai, NSW. Raised in the area and with a combined 25 years of experience in the brewing industry, we are avid community members and supporters of local sports clubs, charity events, fire brigade, and fellow beer connoisseurs.
Beer you love made by lovers of beer, when the time comes, we’ll still be making beers for Odin and his warriors in the great beer hall of Valhalla!
We brew in small batches, unfiltered & unpasteurised. Brewed and packaged onsite each week and ready to order to ensure the absolute freshest beverage for your tastebud’s pleasure. With the highest quality ingredients and enthusiastic quality control protocols, we know firsthand that all Ekim beers would quench the thirst of the mightiest of battlers, brewed with rebellion in our hearts and pride in our bellies.
We open up our Cellar Door on Friday & Saturday each week, with sit down tastings available as well as takeaway cans & growler fills. Maltnhops Brewhaus poured it's first beers at the end of September 2018. Situated at the entrance to the Hunter Valley, and a short distance from Newcastle, the brewery is a great spot to try a large range of craft beers that are all brewed on site. Our taproom boasts 11 taps; all flowing with a huge range of beers - set to please any visitor from the craft beer aficionado to the novice.
Our packaged beers are available from our Cellar Door Tues-Sat from 12pm for takeaway, or enjoy a coldie while you check out our brewhaus. Maltnhops offers delicious 10" pizzas cooked to order, with gluten free options available also. Our team are always on hand to explain the ins and outs of beer brewing, or speak to one of our team to organise a brewery tour..
